- 9 mile training run is in the books. That last mile was a mental struggle, but I was able to power through with some good music. This is the farthest I have made it my training for a half marathon. The first year I started training, I made it to 8 miles before I was sidelined with an injury (the start of the persistent stress fracture). The next year I made it to 6 miles before I was sidelined and unable to compete in the race. So far I am still going strong. My legs are tired after the run, but no pain. Praying this trend continues as the mileage increases. 11 weeks until race day.
