Why are you here? To lose fat or to manipulate the number on the scale temporarily? Keep that in mind when you get in that desperate mind space. You wanted to lose not just 'weight' but FAT. And that take consistent work over time. You can do it if you don't give up following a calorie deficit that you can reasonably maintain over the long haul. Not through wild restrictions that put you right back where you started because you can't keep that up forever. Hugs!

I’m not looking forward to the big storm heading my way, but I AM looking forward to the amazing workout I’ll get from shoveling snow. I love workouts that are doubly productive like that!

  • Good morning and Happy Wednesday!

    It’s Workout Wednesday here! While my afternoon is full of meetings, the morning is for hitting the gym and getting in my workout for the day! Today is a just a treadmill day and while the treadmill is one of my least favorite workouts, I always feel better once it’s done. Today is speed drills. Hate them but need them at the same time.

    What is your favorite workout to hate?

I’m proud of myself for sticking out with Joel Freeman’s 25 minute speed train! Day 4 so far. I’ve been walking 2 miles almost every morning for 2 years now. I want to see if I can add in weight training consistently 💪?

Ok, you know when you lose a bunch of water weight in the beginning and it happens super fast. And then your weight stays the same for a week or two or at least it feels like forever because the water came off so fast your mind got used to seeing the scale move?

I just had a breakthrough and the scale moved down 2 more pounds this morning. Yay! I love to see the progress on the scale but I between the weight loss I just keep reminding myself this is me now. I’m feeling better, healthier, happier. Regardless the scale is moving or not this is my lifestyle and I love the way it makes me feel to take care of my body.
