It's Monday - Don't forget to be awesome!
As we roll into week three, let's talk about snacks!
Snacking often gets a bad rap when it comes to working toward a healthy weight loss, but in reality, snacking is a perfectly healthy habit, provided you’re making thoughtful choices as to which foods you’re nibbling on and are mindful of portions! A quick, measured-out Greek yogurt + berries + granola parfait is one of my favorite snacks.
Common Snacking Pitfalls to Avoid-Eating Straight From the Package: Eating from a small bowl instead of straight from the bag curbs unconscious overeating
-Falling for "Healthy" Traps: Watch out for granola and protein bars—they can sneak in ton of sugar and calories. Sneak a peek at the label first
-Snacking Out of Boredom: Distinguish between emotional hunger and actual, physical stomach rumbling. If you are simply bored, try drinking a glass of water or taking a quick walk to reset
-Late-Night Grazing: Avoid heavy late snacks; they bed can negatively impact how your body burns fat and often increase total calories
What’s your game plan for managing snacks this week?
We'd love to hear about your healthy and satisfying snack ideas!
