You can handle this sugar. Get a step stool and start stepping while you watch tv instead of contemplating snack options. Stay away, FAR away from any foods you know can trigger you to binge-eat. As ridiculous as it sounds, my trigger food is milk. But maybe yours is something like pretzels or chipsahoy. Throw them in the garbage and don't look back. Pour something nasty on it if you have to, like soy sauce.. It is not worth it and your kids or husband or your vocal puppy can find something else to snack on-- because that's their end of supporting your health decisions. Allow no excuses for something you know will set you off, existing within your territory. Remember how everyone said 'it's time for me to put my health first"? How they said "it's time to be selfish, so that I can be there for everyone 110% the rest of the time?"THIS IS YOUR TIME.

I'm so sorry to hear that you got bad news. I too binge to comfort myself and it sure is difficult not to do it when we get knocked off our feet. Hang in there and try to establish a new way to comfort yourself, look to God, look to friends. You can do this.
