Welcome to Diet Bet! I love it, and I hope you will too. I'm not going to wish you good luck, because in weight loss good luck doesn't have much to do with the process. But I will wish you "focused intensity", because that's what it takes to keep life from getting in the way of reaching your goals. I envy you, in your thirties and on this journey. I'm in my fifties and regret not taking my health, fitness, and eating habits more seriously twenty years ago or ten years ago. I've lost 60 pounds & have 40 to go. I didn't balloon up 100 pounds overnight. It crept on slowly as a result of bad choices, one bite at a time, and one minute of inactivity versus activity at a time. I regret all the years I sat on the sidelines of life because I was embarrassed by my weight and refused to take control of my weight and fitness. The Land of Regret is a terrible place to live so I'm trying to move. A few words of unsolicited advice from an older gal: Get the weight off. You can do it. Decide to do it now because you deserve the best life you can give yourself. I was once in my 30's then 20 years flew by and one day AARP stuff started arriving in the mail, and I said to myself oh crap - - you're middle-aged. When did this happen? Middle age kind of sucks, don't arrive here fat. Fat just adds to the suckiness. I hope I wasn't a Debbie Downer. I just want to prod you, inspire you to not to take my path. Be smarter than me & control this situation now while you're young & "only" hav
