  • Happy Monday! Welcome everyone! It's day 1 and we are here to crush our goals! If you haven't already, please introduce yourself and let us know how you heard about DietBet and how many games you've played! :)

    Now is the time to take a moment to set some personal goals for this game. Once you've determined what your goals are (drink more water, workout goals, practice gratitude, sleep routine, etc), the key to success is having a SOLID PLAN in place and studies show that putting it in writing helps.

    This includes planning for a 'normal' day as well has having a plan for when life throws you a curve ball. I like to ask myself, "what is the next healthy choice I can make?" This can get me back on track quickly. :)

    What are some of your goals and what is your plan to make sure you accomplish those goals?

I used to compete in Diet Bets and stopped for a couple years. I need to lose weight just to be a healthy weight for the rest of my life. I also feel outside accountability helps motivate me. I meal plan every day, along with all my family members who work, and this works for us. I am going to focus on more activity, starting slow with a goal of 3,000 steps a day.

Here we go….weigh in officially accepted. I have problems losing motivation when I see set backs or progress doesn’t happen as quickly as I like. Anyone have suggestions on how they overcome this?
Also - how often are you all planning to weigh in to keep on track?

Hehe I’m the same way! I try to keep my environment geared to my success. I don’t buy anything that I would have to practice self control around. So even if I am feeling discouraged and feel like cheating..I still only have healthy options to choose from.

I personally weigh myself every morning when I’m on a weight loss plan. The scale will fluctuate and that’s normal. For me I kinda like to see how the weight is trending so I can adjust things here or there. That’s just me.

I tried doing a transformer last year and didn’t lose after the first month. My husband and I are transitioning to a pescatarian diet because we both have bad eating habits and I am hoping this will help motivate me! Good luck everyone.
