Mary, you absolutely can do this, though 4% in 4 weeks isn't easy. I have lost 66 lbs since January 2013. I lost from January to May. Then I gained 'til September and now I am back on a losing trend, thank God. I have continuously lost since we started an office weight loss contest back in November. Then I learned about DietBet and am currently entered in 3 bets. I lost my 4% in my first 4 week bet. When I started the contests I made a commitment to go to the gym regularly. I spend 60 minutes on a bike or elliptical machine at least 5 days a week. In the past month or so I added free weights to help out my arms. I can't tell you what a difference the exercise has made, added to the dieting. I go to the gym now at 5 AM every weekday morning, because I have to leave my house at 7:20 to take my daughter to school. Make exercise a priority and you can do it.
