Melissa, don't get too focused on the total amount of weight you need to lose. For some people, it's best to just keep your head down, make as many healthy decisions as you can during the day and then celebrate your successes at the end. I always found it was so difficult to make "the big decision" to lose weight - turns out that this is the easiest part. The hard part is to make all the good choices (healthy food, drink water, get enough sleep, physical activity, etc.) that help us achieve our goals. Develop a realistic plan with realistic goals and you'll get there!
