Couple of thoughts... 1. I googled your lipstick and damn that is red! I have never felt like someone who could wear red lipstick.... I am afraid to be noticed, which is my reason for dressing blah I guess. 2. I am currently in that job... the crying one... and I am depressed and eating and the weight isn't happening and I need out. But there are plans in the works, so hopefully soon (really soon!)Your posts are great, they share honestly and funny and I can relate to so much even though we are on different journeys. Awesome!

Thank you, and thank you for reading! Red lips: I love them on other people, and I used to like it on me, but I lost the thing that makes me like my face. So getting this super red was me hoping I would pull out of the rut. And you know? I wore it all day and I loved it-- every time I looked in the mirror I loved it. Everyone should have a red lipstick-- the right red. Job: I'm so so sorry to hear that. I hope you get out SO soon. I ended up getting fired (because I discovered fraud, hahaha!) and, even though I was freaking out about finding a new job, it was the biggest relief. I'd been looking for a new job for months, interviews and everything, but I couldn't find something. The job I have now, that I LOVE and pays better and has better hours and has NEVER made me cry-- I never would have even applied for it if I hadn't been fired. Life is funny that way sometimes. I really hope you get away from that toxic place soon. Life is too short.

Oh ladies! I've been there too. I had THREE different jobs where I was working with very insecure people who needed to make themselves look better by making others look bad. It was NASTY! I lived in constant fear that I would get fired. I always felt sick, and hoped that it was bad enough to call in sick at the office. Sigh... When things seemed like they had reached the worst, I got a call from a place that had me in a pool of potential employees. They asked if I was still interested in working for them, and if so, how soon could I start. That was just over four years ago, and I am still loving my 'new' job. I waited about four years in that pool before getting called up from the 'minor leagues', and it was worth the wait - blood, sweat and tears included! Carly, hang in there. It's okay to let go of the frustration and anger by crying. However, it's not okay to give up on yourself. Keep looking for something else and keep the wheels in motion. Dream big! Consider a change of career paths if that can open up some new possibilities for you. A job is not allowed to wreck the person you are. Try very hard to focus on yourself and find other ways to make yourself feel better. Try volunteering at a local organization - it will look great on a resume and it might even create a few new job prospects.
