Hummus dip recipe

When I make hummus, I don't use olive oil to cut out some calories. I keep the water from the canned garbonzo's and use extra extra lemon juice-- because I like my hummus lemony. Also, in my humble and un-asked-for opinion, it's not hummus without tahini. I've made it without, and I honestly think that leaving out the tahini really effects the flavor. Just a tablespoon makes all the difference. I encourage you to try it and see what you think! Also, (I make a lot of hummus, so I get kind of excited about hummus recipes) have you tried blending in roasted red peppers? I'm not a cumin fan, so I've never put it in my hummus. I usually stick with garlic and salt as the only seasonings on the whole-- but I've enjoyed red pepper flakes in it, and some thyme and rosemary with sundried tomatoes for an herbed hummus. I love hummus! And now I need to go eat some hummus, lol.

OH THAT'S A GREAT TIP. WE DID ADD A LITTLE EXTRA LEMON JUICE. LOL YEAH I BROUGHT SOME HUMMUS TO WORK AS MY SNACK WITH SOME BABY CARROTS AND RED PEPPERS
