I've decided I need some kind of plan. If I don't, I'll just slip into my typical patterns. I know I can't go cold turkey, so maybe I just cut the consumption in half the first week...? I need to step up the eating of fresh fruits and veggies, maybe some yogurt. I'm the worst though at eating. I'll get a meal for lunch and just sort of pick at it, resulting in usually only eating half of it and feeling guilty for having spent the money on it. I need to bring more food from home, HEALTHY foods. I think I'm also going to buy a FitBit or some other derivation of that bracelet thingy. Any suggestions from folks who own one that that love? I'm all ears.

I got the FitBit One. I think it works for me personally because it is a clip on rather than wriststrap (working in a hospital, we have a bare-below-the-elbows policy, and I think the movement of my torso is a better reflection of my whole-body activity than the movement of my wrist). It's really cool to set yourself goals, keep track of them, comparing what you did previous days and trying to hit your goals. I find it feakishly addictive, and it really does encourage me to get out for a walk, and even join a gym for the days when outside is not an option. Also, it's good to look back at days when you absolutely crushed your goals. It's just one of many tools out there to help keep your goal in the forefront of your mind.Best of luck, have fun :)
