For the past couple of weeks, I've been struggling trying to stay focused. I'd be good for a couple of days, & then I'd get uncontrollable cravings for pancakes, Popeyes Fried Chicken, Spicy Doritos, Pringles, rice, and bread (not on the same day - LOL!!!). I thank GOD I didn't have any cravings for sweets!!! If I had, I'd be in BIG TROUBLE!!! LOL!!! I asked my doctor why it has been so difficult for me to stay on track, and she said that it takes a while for Prednisone to get completely out of my system. GOTTA FIGHT THE CRAVINGS!!! LOL!!!

Since I've been having a hard time getting back on track and staying focused (thanks to taking that DARN PREDNISONE), I need some discipline, so I've decided that I'm gonna try doing the Five Bite Diet til my birthday (January 21st). Instead of eating 2 Snicker bars a day, I'm gonna make healthy food choices & have 7 bites (instead of 5 bites) twice a day (lunch & dinner). If I do this diet, I'll have 7 bites, and THAT'S IT!!! I believe I can do this!!! I'm gonna post my progress daily. Writing a blog daily will help keep me accountable. Wish me luck!!! :-)

DAY 1

Weight - 240.8

I woke up feeling pretty good about trying the diet. I drank plenty of water & tea til about 1:30pm, & then I had lunch: a half a can of tuna (with mayonnaise) & a salad. I didn't feel like cooking anything, so at 5:45pm, I ate the same meal for dinner. Believe it or not, I never felt hungry!!!

About 7:45pm, I started getting a bad headache, but 15 minutes after taking a couple of Excedrin for Migraines, it disappeared. I feel pretty good!!! Now, I'm getting ready to have a hot cup of ginger tea & gonna relax the rest of the evening. No temptation!!! YAY!!! KITCHEN IS CLOSED!!! :-)
