I'm turning 27 in a few weeks and with every year that goes by I tell myself I'm going to lose the weight before I turn a year older. I started gaining weight with puberty. I graduated high school weighing 135 and since then I gained about 10 pounds a year until I hit 175. I'm at about 160 now and have been hovering around there for the last few years. I would ultimately like to be able to confidently wear a bikini. I don't know what number that is on the scale but I think it's about a size 4. I want to lose the weight to increase my energy, confidence, and self worth. I know I can do it but it's just a matter of having a push and some accountability. I need a giant, official starting point and I feel like a diet bet is just the push I need. Knowing that I have a community of people working towards the same goal at the same time will hopefully lead me to be more aware of what I put into my body and how I use it throughout the day.
