I joined this game because I have to do SOMETHING to get healthy NOW! I joined because I follow "healthb_brittany" on IG. Last summer, when I got to my highest weight of 190 lbs., I KNEW I had to do SOMETHING. So, I automatically ordered Beachbody Diet Plan. I read all the materials and started doing some of it. Then I just photo copies all the pages and decided I could do it all by myself. Of course, I did not continue. 6 months later, I am still eating junk food and at the same weight and sometimes going over 190 lbs. I get ALOT of INSPIRATION from some pretty GREAT accounts on IG. BUT, I NEVER DO ANYTHING! I AM SO AFRAID TO START....I FEEL LIKE I'M TOO FAR GONE. I have NEVER stayed on a diet for more than 3 DAYS!!! I NEVER had to worry about my weight until after I was 40 years old. Before that my metabolism was GREAT! After 40, I continued my poor eating habits which turned into B.E.D. (Binge Eating Disorder) and I am a junk food junkie. I ALWAYS have healthy food in the house but instead, I crave and I search for the junk food. If I don't have it, I drive to the store and buy it. Not only do I look 20 years old than I am, I have many, many weight related medical issues now. I am HOPING this DIET BET will keep me on track.

I am going to be completely honest with you: You have to want it. You may think, "well duh, Tamara, who DOESN'T want to be healthy?". But I mean, you have to WANT IT, like you can't go one more day being this unhealthy. If I may suggest one thing: I know this game is called DietBet, but you can't think of it as a diet. It's a lifestyle change, as in, "for life". So it has to be sustainable. If you quit your junk cold turkey, you set yourself up to fail. You need to make small changes (say, one piece of your favourite candy/chocolate/whatever per day). Or if you just can't keep yourself from indulging, then start some sort of exercise and work on food later. The point is, you're not too far gone as long as you're alive! You can do it!
You are never too far gone to do this. I'm over 40 and been chubby most of my life. I'm not making huge leaps but I'm making tiny hops and they all add up in the big scheme of things. I've dieted my entire life only to fail. Failure is not an option now, I can do this. Just make a small change for the first week or so, then add another then another. You don't have to make the huge leap all at once, but don't give up. We all falter, we are not perfect. Best of luck!
