I never, EVER knew chicken wings, celery, and bleu cheese dressing could taste SO GOOD!

I was a bit nervous about making chicken wings because I've never made them before, and I thought they might be too hot for me. I found Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce in the store, so I checked it  for carbs (0) and used it instead of original Red Hot sauce. Since I didn't read the recipe directions, I only bought 1.5 lbs of chicken wingLETTES on accident, and after turning them into wings, I only had 12. Luckily for me, one kid didn't like wings, and the other 2 thought they were too spicy, so the hubby and I got to share them. The diet says 6-8 wings, but it turned out the hubby had eaten later in the day and wasn't super hungry, so I got all 8 and they were SO. GOOD. Like...amazingly, insaely, "I will eat them ALL" good. I'm not even a big wing fan, so I don't know if they were just that awesome, or it was because I hadn't had any other foods in 5 days. Either way, I loved them, and I devoured the celery and dressing too, also uncommon since I'm not a celery or bleu chees fan either.

Day 7 (today)

Good news! I woke up to the scale holding steady at 147!

Bad news, it's my sons birthday. His request was sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast, and eating out for dinner.

This day was very, very, VERY hard.

I didn't actually eat much today because I just wasn't too hungry. I had 2 boiled eggs with 2 T butter for breakfast, and then the Fettucini Alfredo with the alternate sauce for lunch. That sucker was a whopping 708 calories! O.O Good thing I wasn't very hungry today. My son wanted to bring a treat in to school, and he wanted cupcakes. I was going to make them, and then realized it was going to be super hard not to eat one and the house would smell delicious. Luckily the local bakery said they could have a couple dozen made by 1pm no problem, so I sacrificed the funds for my sanity. 18 students, I bought 24 so he could give one to teacher and maybe office people.

He brought 5 home.

>_<

2 have been eaten (not by me) and I'm forcing kids and hubby to eat the last 3 quickly.

Dinnertime came came and we headed to the local burger joint. That place smells a-maze-ing, esp. if you've eaten 99% chicken related foods for the past 6 days. I managed to stick with just a grilled chicken salad (yea, I know...more chicken), and only about 2T of bleu cheese dressing. There was a boiled egg on it. I'm being haunted.

The egg fast says that if you're going to eat veggies, stick with only 1/2 a cup during the transition. With that in mind, I ate the chicken first, then the egg, then I aimed for the baby spinach leaves (there were only a few) and then some, not all, of the iceburg lettuce. I did cheat a little and had maybe 3-4 french fries, 1 small fried cheese ball, and 1 popcorn shrimp. The real kicker was when we got home and there was a Snickers cake for dessert. Snickers is probably one of my top 3 candy bars. SOMEHOW I managed to eat the smallest sliver of fork sized cake. I'm talking 1.5" square and about 1 /4" thick. Tiny. And I may have licked a bit of icing off my fingers too.

Don't judge me.

Tomorrow is a weekly weight in. I'm guzzling water a lot in hopes to flush any water from the veggies out of my system. I'm expecting a rise in my weight from today, and I'm hoping and praying it might be 1 lb. max.

Fingers crossed, breath held, prayers unending.

Overall, I think I could do this diet again, but I might make it a little more relaxed. Instead of following it 98% faithfully, it might be more like 85-90%, unless I was IN DESPIRATE NEED to toss pounds. I suspect that might happen after our trip to New York which I'm still very excited about, but deeply concerned about the eating. The way it's set up, I can't change any orders right now, and since all the food will be made before we arrive at the restaurants, I don't think I'll be able to change my order then either. The best I could maybe do is order something else when I get there, but then I'll have wasted some of my pre-paid money. I'll have to tackle that bridge when I get to it I guess. My prayer is that whatever I put back on, I will still be maybe 5 lbs. from my month 3 goal. If I'm within 5 lb.s, I think a super strick egg fast could help me hit it.

Here's hoping.
