For the record, today is day 6 for me, but since it's morning, there's not much I can write about, so this is mostly about how the rest of day 4 went, and also day 5.

For day 4, as I said, I had a couple boiled eggs and a slice of sharp cheddar for breakfast, egg salad for lunch which I really didn't want, but I had to rush out the door and it was there. I was gone most the afternoon, but thankfully I had those Salted Caramel Custards in the fridge. They looked and smelled so tasty! I made up the sauce and poured it over top and took a bite. It was....disappointing. Because I only used a small bit of real sugar, it wasn't near as sweet as it could have been, had I used the substitute. However, it was at least palatable. I ate it anyway. The texture was very nice, but it lacked a whole lot of flavor. I couldn't finish the WHOLE thing, but I did eat most of it.

I've also started in with Magnesium and Potassium suppliments. While I haven't had any signs of the 'keto-flu', I did notice I felt a bit lethargic and kinda bleh. However, this feeling kicked in the PREVIOUS morning (day 3) after I had drank some black tea. I don't drink a whole lot of caffiene, and sometimes it makes me feel really odd. It's possible the thing I was feeling was caused by the caffiene, but regardless, My Fitness Pal showed that I wasn't getting enough Potassium anyway, and sadly, it doesn't show me Magnesium, but I'm betting it might be low too. It did help though, and I've taken one pill of each for the last 3 days and it seems to make me feel a bit better.

Day 5 morning went something like this:

"Oooo! I'm at 147.2!!"

"I hate eggs."

And that's pretty much all that went through my mind most the morning. Mostly the hating eggs bit.

Somehow I managed to choke down 2 boiled eggs by sheer will power. Since I had slept in till 10, a few hours later I needed to eat lunch. It was supposed to be the crepes or pancakes I think, but I skipped to dinner because I desperately needed something different. I made the Fettucini Alfredo. Guys, this stuff was gooooooood! My 'noodles' didn't turn out great as they just refused to set. I put them in the designated time, let them sit for 5, but they were still really runny so I put them in another 5 minutes. Then another 5. Then one more 5 before I declared them "done enough" because I was super hungry. They stuck to my glass dish and came out in more like 2-3 large pieces, but I'm not hung up on perfection so I just sliced them into the 1/8" strips. I didn't have mascapone cheese, so I found a susbstitute online which used a bit of heavy cream, but I only used 1/2 Tbsp so that was like...1 carb.  It wasn't until after all that fuss that I saw she already had a substitute on the actual recipe.

I'm so observant.

I would HIGHLY SUGGEST you used grated parmesan. I made the mistake of using shredded and when I heated the stuff, the parm just clumped up because I didn't stir it. Though, I ended up having to heat it again because the noodles too so long, and they did finally incorporate the 2nd go round. Poured it over my noodles and admittedly it didnt look very appitizing but my stomach was trying to digest itself at that point so I just ate it and it was awesome. IT DIDNT TASTE LIKE EGGS!

The rest of the day went fairly well. I had the other custard for a snacke, and I made the deviled eggs for dinner, which were interesting with the low fat mayo. I can't say they were bad, but they were...odd.

So, today is day 6. I actually managed to happily eat 2 fried eggs this morning, though I did sprinkle on about 1/4 tsp. sriracha sauce for some flavor. Today, I get to eat AN AVACADO! Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of plain avacado. I like it IN stuff, but not by itself. However, I will try it because its something different. Also, for dinner? CHICKEN WINGS!!! Sweet bippy I get to eat MEAT AGAIN!

Today I weighed myself and it came up 147. After a streak of loosing 1-1.5 lbs a day, only 2 oz would have me worried, but I only drank 1/2 the water I should have yesterday AND the hubby and I did some landscaping work so I was sweating quite a bit. So, I lost water, didn't drink enough water, and I suspect my body was getting a little freaked out and retained. Hey, I still lost, so I'm not panicing. Also, I must keep in mind that because yesterday was the end of the strict Egg Fast and I'm now in the transition days. This is the time when the lady at I Breath I'm Hungry (the blog I took this diet from) gained back 1/2 a lb. I'm ok with 1/2 a lb, I just don't want to gain back ALL the pounds I lost. The grand total thus far is....... 6.6 lbs! Yes, I have lost 6.6 lbs in 5 days. How awesome is that?! Even if I gain back a 1 lb, that means I only need to drop 4 lbs. in the next 3 weeks to meet my Transformer goal.

I'm a bit concerned because my eldest daughter and I are travelling to NY next week because her h.s. choir will be singing in Carnegie Hall. SO excited for her and the trip, but everything is pre-paid and meals are pre-planned. One day I know we are going to a pizza place and I pre-ordered a supreme pizza. We're also having sandwiches another day, so that's more carbs. It's going to be very difficult to NOT put weight back on. My hope is that all the walking we will have to do will help me keep some of weight at bay. Unfortunetly all the food selection we had to do was a few weeks back before I decided to go low carb. I did try to choose the healthiest options (grill chicken sandwich at one place, rather than fried stuff), but now that I'm seeing weight loss with carb restriction...eh. I can always remove the bun and bread from my sandwiches, but taking the toppings off pizza seems just wrong. Plus...pizza. Mmmm... It'll be a trick, but hopefully it doesn't pack the weight back on. I will at least have a week after we get back till the next weigh in, so if necessary, I could do another egg fast.

Bleh....
