I'm feeling better after this week than I have in a while. There were several weeks there where I felt totally out of control with my eating. I'd make a pledge to not binge for 10 days and only make it to day 3 or 4. The number on the scale kept going up. I think DietBet is just the motivation I needed. I'm hoping it lasts.
Yesterday I went to a pot luck and felt great about my eating choices. There were trays and trays of pasta, but I grabbed a turkey wrap, a big serving of salad, some strawberries and just a few little pretzel bites. My boyfriend was excited about the dessert line. I ate one bite of his cupcake and avoided going to the line myself. I didn't even feel jealous that I couldn't have my own cookie...which would have turned into cookies.
Thoughts on my goals for last week.
(1) Keep calories under 2200.
I didn't actually count. I've been counting calories on all my diet false starts lately and I wanted to take that stress out and just focus on what I know is good eating. I think I stayed under most days and I was proud of how I ate all days.
(2) Avoid sugar and carbs as much as possible.
I did great with this. Today I was craving PB&J and I let myself indulge, but I only bought one small roll so there is no lingering bread in the fridge calling my name.
(3) Drink 3 bottles of water a day.
Did this most days.
(4) Work out 4 days.
I worked out 7 days!
(5) Write again next Sunday.
Here I am.
Next week my goals are the same, but I need to really hold myself accountable to goal #1. Count your calories and keep them under 2200. I'm starting a Kickstarter Challenge tomorrow and if I want 4% to fall off in 4 weeks I'm really going to need to watch the number going in.
