I mean it, Nic, no sugar!
I've been able to cut it out before, with great success, but this week I didn't manage. In fact, I had two big sugar binges this week. I am making backwards progress...
I know that stess is playing a big role, but I also know this stress is not going to dissipate quickly, and I can't wait for it to go away to lose this weight I've been carrying.
What I need this week are instant solutions to my sugar cravings that force me to pause and remember my goals. I've put packs of gum everywhere - in my office desk drawer, in my bedside table, in my backpack, in the pantry. As soon as I have a craving, it's gum time (or water time, or tea time). That should slow me down long enough to remember that I really really don't want to be eating sugar. To remember that "just one little piece" will end up being 10 sevings.
Exercise has been going a lot better. I've really been enjoying these gym classes and I'm excited to keep going this week.
Just remember,
Stress + Food = More Stress
Stress + [A walk/Yoga/Tea/A few minutes relaxing on the couch without eating anything] = Less Stress
