These strength classes are definitely making me feel fitter! The scale is slow to respond, but I can see a difference in the mirror and in how my pants fit. I'm excited to keep going and keep getting stronger!

For a long time, I was afraid to do any strength training because my body responds very quickly to it. My arms can bulk up pretty fast. I already have very wide shoulders, so adding any muscle makes it difficult to fit into jackets comfortably. But, in the past when I was doing a lot of arm work, I was also eating a lot. Now I have a better handle on my calorie input, so I think I can direct this weight training into making my body leaner instead of bulkier. So far, so good.

I ate well for most of last week and I'm feeling good!

I could be drinking more water, though.
