Uh oh. Looks like I missed my weekly check in - twice!

Two weeks ago was a great week. I ate great and got a lot of good workouts in at the gym. A week ago I came to California to visit my family and it's certainly been harder to stay on track since then.

I have had several good days, and have gone to Master's swimming with my Dad three times. I used to be in great swimming shape, but I haven't swam in a while - it's tough! I've had a few bad days too. Some days I work all day from the dining room and those kitchen cabinets full of snacks and chocolate are too close! 

I am only here working two more days, before taking a few actual vacation days to go backpacking. I need a plan for these two days. I'm going to make this place seem as much like home as possible. At home I pack my lunch in the morning, and that's all I get to eat all day. So here I will look through the fridge and pick out what I'm having for lunch before I start working. At lunchtime, that's what I'll have. When I need a snack, I'll have what I planned for a snack. Just like home. And, just like home, I'll keep my Nalgene close by chugging along as the day goes on.

As for exercise, I HAVE to do it in the morning. It is way too hot later in the day, and I want to keep the evenings open for hanging out. Tomorrow morning, I'm off for a run. 

Ahhhh....I feel better already. These few days were bad, but I'll turn them around.
