I spent the week in Monterey, CA attending a conference. It was not a bad place to be at all. As soon as we got there I went for a run along the ocean and two days later I did another run to a park, did some yoga there, and jogged back. Beautiful weather and so nice to get outside.

I was doing really well food-wise until Wednesday night. Even then, I ate well throughout the day and was on track with calories, but I ended up going out with some people I met at the conference and drinking... a lot. That set me back for the next day when all I wanted were carbs to soak up the alcohol. Friday night I went to my parents house and my whole family came over to celebrate my 30th birthday which is in a couple weeks. So I ate a lot that night too.

Saturday morning we went swimming. I swam 3300 yards which is more than I've swam in a while, but I erased it all with leftover cake.

So, not the greatest week, but life got in the way. I certainly had fun. Now I'm back home getting ready for another 4-day meeting I have here this week. I'm pretty stressed about finishing my presentation on time and about all the work I have to do once it's over. The work never ends, but I'm going to focus on staying in my calorie range this week and drinking tons of water.

My daily checklist has morphed into something really cool. My boyfriend and I now have a shared google spreadsheet. He has a checklist on one page and I have mine on another page. It's an awesome way to keep us accountable, and to keep the logging going. If one of us slacks, we get called out.

Next weeks goals:

(1) Stay within calorie range 7/7 days

(2) Drink 4 Nalgenes of water/day
