Sara, excellent!! I believe if you can conceive a child at an ideal weight it definitely will make living pregnant easier, but I weighed 300 lbs when I got pregnant at 39 years old, and gained less than 20 lbs. It was a healthy pregnancy, no problems, no complications, and a healthy baby. Again, I would have been more comfortable at a lower weight, but I loved being pregnant. I felt good. It's funny how we think just because we weigh more that things won't work out for us just the same as if we weigh less. I was healthy other than my weight, so I'm sure that all was a factor. Good luck on your journey.

Sara

That's really good to know. I'm sure I would be fine if I were pregnant now. My BMI really isn't all that terrible. However, even without a baby, I'm noticing some health changes- such as high blood pressure and heartburn. I don't have these problems when I weigh a little less than I do now. I know that these problems would probably magnify with a baby on the way. Thanks for your comment. I wasn't sure if anyone would even read this. I was indifferent :) Good luck to you as well!
