Hi Sara! What you said really resonates with what I have done on here! I have done a total of 4 different bets after each child *ive had 3 in a 5 year span* and was only "successful" with the first one! What I have gained is a sense of perseverance, and that the struggles I've faced with weight were a lifetime of bad habits and that I was going to have learn how to treat myself right and that it would possibly take a long time! I am in this transformer after just giving birth to my 3rd child and I want so badly to hang in there and win. I KNOW we can do it!!

Amazing on the impressive and quick weight loss! That is rough to try and live up to after giving birth and then working full time (and a c-section on top of that) BE KIND TO YOURSELF. I also had a c-section (12 years ago) and I was able to start treadmill/yoga after 10-12 months. It took me 14 months to lose 75 lbs and I kept it off for several years. Unfortunately, for me, I gained back all the weight from our last move back to the U.S. (about 5 years ago) 80 lbs within less than a year. (It was a major culture shock from Luxembourg City to College Station) So... I’m down 30 lbs in the last 2 years, and I have 50 more to go! I don’t expect to lose it as fast as the first time, but I want to meet all the monthly benchmarks for this challenge!! Even though I don’t have a newborn anymore, I share similar responsibilities as far as family. It sounds like you have great direction. I hope we can inspire and motivate each other over the course of this challenge. I’m glad you’re here!

Good for you to persevere! I encourage you to keep at it. YOU are worth the time it takes to stay healthy. You will be a great example to your children (when they arrive!) and you will have no regrets later in life. I wish I had been diligent to lose the weight I gained when I was your age. I'm 60 and I have found it harder to lose weight and keep it off the older I get. If you can figure out a way to keep it off and maintain, when you are 60, you won't have the regrets I have over not trying hard and being more disciplined to take care of ME when I was your age and during the intervening years of child-rearing.

Hey Sara! What a lovely post. I truly respect and adore people who find their way with self improvement and continual growth! You are someone that i find truly interesting and i'm sure others do as well. Depression can get to us all, for no good reason, but i'm so happy you seem to have found some peace and i hope you will continue to live happily and sustain continual growth. You are awesome and I wish you the best. Take Care, Drew R..

Your journey is just beyond awesome. I just read your "day 1" blog post. "Here's to a successful 28 days." Well, you obviously didn't stop after 28 days. What an inspiring story. Congratulations so far, and I am sure you will get rid of those last ten (or 20) pounds. You rock! :)

KnightofWren

How inspiring! I'm sure you will make that 135lbs goal. That is a good question "How to know when to stop?", I have about 10-20lbs to go myself before I start thinking about that.
