I have lost weight before, only to gain it back when I started to have 'fun' again. For me, losing weight isn't the hardest part, it's maintaining that self control, awareness, and mindfulness.

I'm between jobs so I have more time to focus on my health. What happens when things get busy again?

We are planning a big move in 2015. Will things get derailed when my blender is packed away and our life is in flux?

So I see this as only the first step. I've signed up for a 'Transformation' that ends in April to stay on track over the long term. Permanent change will take a long time. Small habits will lead to big change. I know I'm happier when I set aside my ego and fight the urge to multitask and be 'power woman'. I need to do less and focus on a few key priorities, including my 'wellness'.

I'm fortunate to have a very supportive partner and I'm building a likeminded community to help inspire me.

I'm committed and excited about the new me that is going to emerge in 2015. I'm an optimist at heart. Lots of positive changes coming up and my new lifestyle will help me flourish!
