You know, just over a year ago at 270 lbs I wrote a similar post. 95 lbs, countless 5ks and 3 half-marathons later and I will tell you I AM A RUNNER! Find a training plan, pick a race, and just go! Go SLOWLY but go. The speed will come. Good for you and welcome to the club! ????

Start with Couch 2 5k. They have apps and training plans that you can print off. You will be running like 1 min and walking 1 min to start with. I also HIGHLY recommend finding a running group or class. I took an Anyone Can Run class through the Y and it held me accountable. I knew I was going to run with them once per week, so I made sure to get my other runs in. Pick a race that's 8 weeks or so out and pay for it now. You'll be more motivated to continue. Oh, and seriously, run slowly! You have to build up your endurance and you can't do that sprinting. Speed will come later.
