That sounds like a good plan! You inspired me~ I think I will try and come up with something like that one. hmm... I can't run but just to be able to run might be a goal I should go for. I can exercise until I meet that goal and then get running goals.! Thanks for posting!

PlainTriciaJane

That is such a great goal. I have a half marathon that I will be doing in August and have signed up for a 5k 10k and 15k between now and august. This will be my first half marathon and when I did my first 15k my pace could barely be considered a jog but I was so happy I did it. Running is such an achievement! Keep up the good work!!

You know, just over a year ago at 270 lbs I wrote a similar post. 95 lbs, countless 5ks and 3 half-marathons later and I will tell you I AM A RUNNER! Find a training plan, pick a race, and just go! Go SLOWLY but go. The speed will come. Good for you and welcome to the club! ????

I love this post! I have always felt the same. I love the sense of pride and joy that I feel when I'm done jogging whatever path that I set out to jog. It's the before and beginning moments that are the obstacle to tackle. I know what you mean about difficulty with breathing. I'm still in that phase learning myself and how to keep my breath controlled and comfortable. We're doing it MamaOf4! We're becoming runners! It's just a matter of consistency. Good luck and much success making this year YOUR YEAR!
