Yes! I completely agree! I would never talk to anyone else or allow my kids to speak to someone else the way that my inner voice speaks to me. I'm working on retraining myself!

Funny story the daughter's Latin teacher just told. She heard her son telling a sibling to shut up. She was shocked and told him, "Why did you say that? We do not talk that way to each other in this family." Clever kid responded, "Oh, I thought that was how you say 'Be quiet, please' in Spanish." Ha!
