This has been a very hard challenge for me, but I am loving all the support and encouragement from everyone. I am pushig myself to meet the promises I made. I have a check list on my door so that at the end of the day I get to check a box to see if I met my promise. Have I been absolutely faithful to it? No, but I have been 95% faithful. That is so much better than I have done in the past.
One thing I have done for myself is also to make very small goals. My goal right now is to loose 5 lbs. I need to lose 4 more to make that goal. The thing is I am not putting a time limit on making the goal. I am not looking further ahead than the 5lbs. I have met that goal twice now working on it for the 3rd time. This way I am having small wins and it keeps me going. I likethis outlook much better than looking at the whole number I need to loose.
My major win today was putting on a smaller jeans. I know they were a little tight but I didn't have to lay down on the bed to put them on and I could actually breath in them and were comfortable enough to wear all day at work. I might have showed a 2lb gain earlier this week, but the jeans fitting was such a bigger win for me.
The finish line is getting close and I am a little concerned about not making the goal. But I know now I will continue this journey with such more confidence that I can do this. I believe in my heart I will make it, but we all get a little scared when we are seeing other who have already reached it. We all can push a little hard these last few days and make it, I am going to push and try my hardest to be there.
It is easy for us to look at how much more we have to do, but don't forget to celebrate those small wins. They will keep you going. Be happy were you are (yes I struggle greatly with this) and smile while working out. It does make it easier. Have a great night and a wonderful day tomorrow. Keep it going.
