I feel like I lost a day somewhere in this challenge?  Is it Day 3 or 4?  Either way... I know I have 26 days left.

What I do know is that today is my Day 4 without having a diet soda.  I guess that is good, but I am definitely missing the caffiene.  I'm one of "those people" that dislike coffee.  I love the smell of it, but hate the taste.  You can add as much sugar and cream to it, but I still won't drink it.  Of all the times in my life I have tried coffee, I'd actually prefer it black --- if I was tied down and forced to drink it.

For as long as I can remember it was OK to have soda daily growing up.  Obviously, that translated into my adult life.  I've tried to quit before and have made it to about 30 days.  Then, my mind won.

"It's zero calories."

"You NEED caffiene."

"It's not like you are drinking coca-cola.  You can clean things with that $hit!"

"But you don't drink coffee, so soda is prefectly OK."

But it's not ok.  I know how horrible it is for your body and your teeth.  I just read an article last night reiterating the fact that it is one of the worst beverages that you can consume (over wine!).  It's addicting, too.  For now, I have been pounding water like it's my day job (fact: it is not my day job, I am an accountant by day and a baker by night) and I've started drinking unsweetened almond milk.  I'm missing the caffiene a little bit, but am trying not to replace it with green tea.  Or chocolate.

Has anyone else jumped OFF the diet soda bandwagon? What worked for you?  I feel like I am limiting my beverage choices by cutting out all soda - and wine (gulp) - but I'm taking it one day at a time.  So far, so good.
