I want to succeed at this Dietbet, so I'm doing a couple of things to make sure I don't get obsessed with a number, rather than with changing my overall health.

1. Taping a sign to the scale to wait to weigh in. I'm trying to weigh no more than once a week. The body fluctuates too much, particularly in summer (where water retention is par for the course).

2. Saying no to temptation. If I know a certain restaurant or shop will encourage me to eat something too rich, I'm just not going. Same thing for social situations. For a month, totally worth it.

3. Just doing it. Today I struggled to get out the door to run. It was hot, I was tired, long week, etc. Then, I just pushed myself out the door. It was a fine run. It's totally mental so much of the time.
