...begins with the single step." - Lao Tzu
Well, no Disney quote today, but some people say, Lao Tzu/Laozi was almost as wise as Walt Disney, so that's okay. ;-P
I am not at a thousand miles yet, but this is where I'm at right now, day 26.

I really wanted to complete 100km today, and I just did. :)
But one thing at a time: Yesterday was great! I slept really well. I had to drive and coach a youth team of my club at 10 a.m. and had a game myself later at 3 p.m. In between, I went to the grocery store to buy something to eat.So I bought a couple of donuts, some candy bars and two bottles of soda... just kidding! :D I bought an apple, a banana, some grapes (I know they have a lot of sugar too, but I love them^^) and a lye roll. I basically spend most of the day in sports halls, but it was okay. The kids and my own team both won Woohoo! :D
Afterwards, we "celebrated" at a nice italian restaurant, where everybody else was ordering pizza and pasta, but I stayed strong. I ordered a salad (iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs, ham, black olives). They offer this awesome home made dressing, which tastes really good, but I figured, if I had this, I might as well have ordered the pizza, so I ordered just balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing on the side(!) and went really easy with the olive oil.
I slept like a log again the second day in a row, so today started off really well.
I had a grapefruit and a buttered bread roll for breakfast (I know it's not great, but I loved it^^). I had a slice of smoked porc chop with two potato dumplings and red cabbage for lunch...if you were guessing that I had lunch at my mother's house, you were right. :D It was really delicious.
Today was a running day again, and I figured, that with all the good sleep, good mood, nice food and everything being just great I should totally rock this run...at least that was the theory. -.-
From start to finish, I simply didn't "feel" it. I had a constant pain in my right knee and left heel after 10 minutes already which I normally never have, I had no good feeling of my pace, every step was just nasty. It was raining and really windy, but who cares. Thank god I wasn't running alone today. Having a friend on my side stopped me from quitting today. I finished my run, the time was okay and I am really happy that I did it. Next one will be better again, I'm sure. :)
