I had a great day yesterday. I ate really well for a total of roughly 1800kcal, didn't even have my 100kcal of "daily sinful food", did a nice 11km run in just over an hour, had table tennis practice in the evening and just felt really good the whole day.
Today was a rest day, so no exercise. I had oatmeal and an orange for breakfast, 100gr. of pasta (350kcal) with loads of mixed vegetables (300gr. = 150kcal) and some asparagus (40kcal) for lunch and two scrambled eggs and some melon slices for dinner. I snacked a pack of cottage cheese (200gr = 180kcal) and another orange inbetween meals.
However, although I feel my diet is really solid, and I run three times (30-40km total) a week on top of 2 times table tennis practice a week, I just don't seem to lose any more weight. At least not as much as I want to. I managed to win my first and second dietbet because my first three weeks were really good. I lost 3.3kg. Now 2.5 weeks later I'm only down by a total of 4.7kg. I'm going to lose 0.8kg this week to win the next one, which might be possible, but it gets harder every week as my buffers shrinks and shrinks.
I didn't have burgers or fries or ice cream or potatoe chips even once in those 5.5 weeks! I had ~50gr. of chocolate ONCE, and pizza (~400gr.) ONCE. And I even tried to balance that with the rest of my diet as good as possible. I only drank water (~3 litres plus some on days I exercised). Zero Alcohol, zero softdrinks. I had a glas of orange juice for breakfast 3 or 4 times.
I don't have a problem putting in the effort to lose weight, I don't have a problem with not losing weight if I let myself go. But working hard and not seeing the results is kind of frustrating.
But what can I do? Just upset the apple cart? Stop trying if it's all the same anyway? I don't think so. I can only do the best for my own part. The rest is variance. So I'll keep going.
