Oh, this day can really challenge every notion of being healthy. So instead of resisting, I'm giving in.

With conditions.

It's been a tough week in general with adopting a new diet (no meat 'til Thanksgiving), visiting companies bringing snacks to the office, co-workers asking if I want treats, etc. I have been good, and therefore will allow myself to indulge a little.

This morning I had my green shake and a banana to help get me on the right track after a 20 minute workout (run/walk interval and squats) and some tricep dips. I also finished off a cup of water and will continue to sip from my thermal the rest of the day.

For lunch, I'm going to go for a walk and grab a quinoa salad. This is after having (1) fun size peanut M&Ms (as close to healthy candy as I can get), (1) fun size Snickers (I'm a sucker for it), and (1) sour apple straw (not the best choice, but breaks up the chocolate monotony), in addition to a small brownie and some tortilla chips with salsa. I now have a red velvet cupcake staring me down at my cubicle and I don't know what to do with it.

I want it and I don't want it. All I can think of is how much I want to workout and kill time until a Halloween party later tonight. So here is my gameplan:

  1. I can eat maybe 1/3-1/2 of this cupcake and throw it away
  2. As soon as I can get out of my TMNT costume (I'm Donatello), off to run again and finish my dips along with other exercises (abs and hips day)
  3. Avoid candy at the party. I will wreck havoc on the veggie platter though!
  4. Keep myself to a 1-2 drink(s) limit and drink LOTS of water
  5. Not weigh myself tomorrow :P

I would love to hear your plans for this spooky ocassion!
