Is this game over? Will there be a new one?

Yes, this game is over. They typically renew the bet several days to a week after the close of a current bet. Sometimes they post it in advance so people can join to continue the journey.

Alex D. I have the final weigh in prompt on my page. I couldn't see another had started yet so I was confused. Thanks!

I am from Texas. I haven't had any source of heat, electricity, water from Sunday until late yesterday. I am exhausted and overwhelmed. What are my options and timeframe for weighing in? It may be Sunday or Monday before I am able to. Thank you for your help. Wishing you all the very best

  • Hit the gym for the first time in a week. I had to work off some of my Super Bowl snacking.

Had a bad night at work, on my time of the month, came home and had some candy and chips. Stopped myself, drinking water for the rest of the night and back at it tomorrow!

That’s awesome that you recognized the behavior! It’s all about the small steps and getting back up!

Erin

Hope tomorrow is better for you!

I’m tired. Progress is slow...I’m talking I’ve lost 0.7 pounds in 2 weeks of diligent effort, not perfect, but diligent. Maintaining a positive mindset is a challenge. What helps you keep a positive mindset? I’ve had extra stress this week. Not ready for Monday which is not my usual on a Sunday night. I need some encouragement.

I am using the bets to work toward my overall goal which isn’t exactly defined by a number. I use these bets to stay on course and if I hit the 4% that is great but in the end I am just looking at making progress. I am already seeing changes in my body even though the scale isn’t moving as fast as I would like. Seeing those nsv is definitely keeping me motivated to continue tracking my food and working out.

I’ve found it useful to combine bets for that very reason. I do StepBet and RunBet with DietBet which makes me think about what I’m eating and burning extra fuel too. The results are easier to spot as is going off course. I find the 3 together creates a positive mental state. I’m getting close to my goal weight, so things are getting harder.

  • Keto day 21:
    Yesterday morning: 380.0lbs
    This morning: 382.4lbs

    This happens. It's totally normal.
Hormone fluctuations can lead to water retention.

Additionally, as fat cells give up their fat for fuel they take on water to maintain their shape for a bit. That's why it's fairly common to see a stall or even a tick up in weight for a bit and then, whoosh, you'll see a big drop on the scale.

Don't let a temporary stall or bump up in weight derail you.

Weight loss is not a straight line, so kind as the overall trend is your weight decreasing, you are golden! Keep eating right, keep exercising and eventually the scale will catch up.

Yes, it's frustrating. There is a feeling of "I did everything right! How dare the scale betray me like this?!?!?!"

Be patient, be kind to yourself. Remember that life is a long journey and not a destination. Keep your eyes on the prize of being healthier and happier. That's the goal, not some arbitrary number on the scale.
