Right there with you, David - except for me it's Tuesday night platform tennis league (niche outdoor, winter racket sport). Ended up losing over a pound and feeling pretty good about that.

Hey all- glad to do this with you all!!!
Any intermittent/extended fasting people on here??? I know everyone has what works for them. Extended fasting was extremely helpful in the past for me for weight loss and health. Just got off track for a few years and trying to get back on plan. Anyway- if you enjoy fasting let me know and we can encourage each other when it gets tough!

I do IF in that I skip breakfast and do either a bullet proof coffee (just MCT, no butter) so there’s no or very little
Insulin response. I do the occasional 48-72 hour fast and yeah that definitely kicks things in to high gear. The extended fasts interest me with regards to
Autophagy and in case there’s any truth to the idea that you can kill off cancerous cells.

I do the fasting mimicking diet once a month too when I’m trying to lose more than 2 percent in a month. I do a diy version that is much cheaper than the Prolon diet. I think it really does cause autophogy and kills cancer cells. I had MGUS, a precursor to multiple myeloma, but after doing the fasting mimicking diet a few times, I was retested and it was gone!

Started my dairy free keto diet today with intermittent fasting. I’m doing the dairy free part since my wife is trying to be dairy free for nursing baby. No cheese will make keto a bit harder but caloric deficit probably gets easier.

I'm surprised at how much I have taken a liking to almond milk. I have no problem at all subbing it for dairy milk anytime. It's fabulous for keto!
