Saw your post on your monthly. I too started Monday same day I also flew. I gained 5lbs! (Gotta love flying). But....you can work with it. I worked our hard, drank lemon water once a day (natural diuretic) kept my carbs to oatmeal in the am, and just fruits and vegetables for my carbs (no breads) and kept my sodium WAY down. And drank more than a gallon of water. Your body retains water during this time because it's starving for more water to prep for your monthly. So keeping foods high In water based, and drinking tons of water actually helps flush out water weight gain. (I know. Sound counter intuitive). I also hit the sauna after a workout at the gym. But only do that if you are hydrating yourself as well. I did all of this and I lost the water weight gain just in time for the weigh in yesterday, still weighed the same as yesterday today, feel great, and still have my monthly. So don't say you failed. Just thought I would share in case you run into this again.

Hey! Have you considered entering Chris Powell's 12 week challenge? My husband and I both did it and LOVED it! We did really well. So far we have lost 116 lbs together since December. (56 of that has been me :). Anyway, let me know if you'd like more information. As far as I'm concerned, anything Chris and Heidi believe in is more than fine by me!!

Also have 100+ to lose in total, but am taking it 50lb at a time. This is my 2nd DB (just won on a DB4); found it fun and there is a lot of good feedback and encouragement when you post. Good luck!
