Laurie S.

Hey Robert - thanks for checking in. Hit the 20lb mark yesterday; not bad for under two months. Made my first transformer milestone, but probably won't hit my current DB4 this week. A little bit of a downer, but trying to keep focused on the bigger picture and not get hung up on the competition. Have been browsing around for another game, so will definitely check out your games.

Robert R.

Laurie, if you get a chance check out my game and use it for motivation to keep up the weight loss. We need more players to support each other.

Hi There! How's everything going for you so far this month? :)

Laurie S.

Hey Julli - nice to hear from you. Think I'm going to make my DB10 goal this week, but doubt I'll make the DV4 goal next week. Doing OK, but got a slow start and work/life has been crazy the last few weeks. Happy that I'm still making progress even if I don't win.

Julli

Great Attitude!! Hang in there, you're doing great!! :)

Hey Laurie! Zumba is going well...we have it 3x a week at my school where I teach so it is perfect. I'm trying to also supplement some additional cardio and strength training at the gym in addition to that. Now I need to start planning for the summer and what my exercise schedule will look like.

Hope the arm is doing well and you are cleared soon to get back into things. Are you still logging on MFP?

Laurie S.

The arm is not going great, but since the Doc let me out of my splint I guess some pain is worth the freedom. Know I just need to be patient and a month from now things will be back to normal....well sort of. Still tracking on MFP - 36 days and counting! I'm surprised how often I look at where I am before dinner and I'm 100% on protein. Definitely changes what I choose to eat.

Oh no! sorry to hear about your arm! But like you said, making good food choices is more than half the battle! I've been in WW since last fall and have lost 25 lbs all together but most was by simply changing my eating habits - now I'm beginning to add the workouts in so I can reach my goal this September :)

Laurie S.

Done WW twice (seriously) and lost 100+ the first time and 50+ the second; obviously, I haven't figured out how to maintain, so hoping to put the things I learned in WW and work on making them permanent choices this time around.

Keep up the good work. By the way the first 2 or 3 months all I did was walk and ride the bike outside with my daughter so if you eat healthy and keep walking you will get to your goal!!! Now I run 8 miles in the morning and walk 5 miles in the evening with my wife and daughter so once you get to a point when you want to start jogging chat with me and I'll give you tips on how to start slow.

Hey Robert - thanks for the feedback. Going to have to wait until I get my arm out of the splint to do much, but I'm going to keep walking; Know it is mostly about eating right anyway, so will focus on that for now.
