If you start working out a lot when you previously were not working out or working out sporadically you aren't going to like what the scale has to say. If you want to know accurately what your body is doing I would measure yourself with a tape measure. Also one of the digital scales these pick up on water weight now.

Give your body time to figure out this new routine. A pound of muscle and a pound of fat weigh the same, but the muscle takes up much less volume, so don't forget to use your measuring tape in addition to the scale to monitor your progress. And, most of all, hang in there. You're doing healthy things for yourself, and that's worth celebrating even more than a number on a scale.
