  • Here we are, rolling into the weekend! Can you believe we are nearing the end of Week 3 already?! How is everyone doing?

Now is a great time to check in with ourselves and see where we are in terms of reaching our goals. What’s working? What needs to be tweaked a bit? Let us know if you’ve discovered any tricks to help keep you on track! For me, I’ve learned that not eating after dinner helps me stay on track. If I feel like snacking at night, then I will usually just make a cup of herbal tea and find something to keep myself busy and that feeling fades away :)

Remember, we are here to encourage each other and sharing your accomplishments inspires others!

Food prep is definitely a game changer for me. If I can't just grab and throw into the microwave, I will just start eating things that aren't the healthiest choice or will keep me full and not fuel me properly for my work out the next morning.
Also I found as well having a set time not to eat after 7pm helps as well. So in my mind kitchen is closed!

The thing I am struggling with right now, is bloating and gas. I think that I am getting to much fiber. I only like a handful of veggies and fruits so I am always eating the same ones. Along with taking probiotics and prebiotic it's feel like I am like a balloon that makes that farting noises all day long.

  • Happy Monday!

As we roll into week three, I'm pretty sure that we all still have a few unhealthy habits that we can give up. For one week...only one week what unhealthy habit are you willing to give up? Who knows...this may lead to you giving up that unhealthy habit for good!

I really need to limit more of my sugar/ fake sugar intake. I found a new nut butter that is so delicious, but drives my cravings. Also I have given up soda foe the most part, but have found I replaces it with Olipop or poppi. So I would like to not have those three things for this week.

Referee Grace

That's a great goal for this week, Kim! Flavored seltzer water is another good alternative if you're craving some flavor/bubbles - and many of them have zero sugar/artificial sweetener :)

  • Happy Monday! Today is the day...the start of a brand new week so let’s make it a good one!

Looking back on last week, what were your strengths and what did you struggle with? How do you plan to turn those struggles into strengths this week?

Personally, I struggle with snacking and having a sweet tooth. This week I’m going to focus on drinking more water to stay satiated and stocking up fresh fruit so I can grab something healthy when I feel like snacking.

What are some of your favorite healthy snacks?

That's so great, Kim! I love Mexican food! It's definitely important to allow ourselves the things we love in moderation.

  • Happy Friday! How is everyone doing so far? Any triumphs to share? Anything you’re struggling with? Share with us! We’re all here to help each other :)

The weekend is almost here! For some of us, weekends are easier, for others they're more of a challenge.

If you struggle to stay on track over the weekend, then it's time to plan ahead. It's all about being prepared and making wise choices. Don't feel deprived, feel empowered!

    Tips for a Healthy Weekend:
-Plan ahead - So important to be prepared for whatever comes your way!
-Drink your water - Hydration can ease hunger and help you feel satiated
-Keep moving - It feels great and burns calories!
-Moderation - Don't over do the food and drinks
-Relax - Stress can lead to overeating. Take some time for yourself!
-Sleep - We need our sleep and it aids our weight loss efforts!
    -Have fun!

It's also a great time to do some meal planning and prep for the week. Head to the grocery store and stock up on healthy options to have on hand.

Have fun and make choices that will make you happy when you step on the scale on Monday! You've got this!

On the weekends, starting about 3 months ago, I decided to get up at the same time I do during the week. So I get my work out in right away on Saturdays, and then I can beat the rush at the grocery store! I do meal prep on the weekends, I know if I don't have things ready to grab and go...I will grab something not so healthy.
Things I am struggling with are getting in my water, and eating after 7pm. I made thr decision for my gut health no more eating after 7pm, and this past week I really struggled with that because my schedule has been all over the place or I am just not hungry and wanting ro eat. Which I know I will regret in the morning during my sweat session so then I eat.
So this week again focusing on getting water in and no eating after 7pm.

I love to get up early and beat the rush on the weekends too, Kim! And getting in your workout early is such a great way to start the day! Something that helped me start drinking more water was to get one of those really big water bottles with the time stamps and motivational sayings on it. That way, I can just fill it up in the morning and drink throughout the day. It's a little cumbersome to drink from, but filling it up and knowing that's my water for the day really helps visually. Then I can just pour it into a glass or smaller bottle from there. I've found that drinking herbal tea at night helps keep me from mindless snacking. Once you get into the habit of not eating at night, it becomes much easier. Good luck this week!

Friendly reminder: The Initial weigh-in window is officially open and you have until March 17 to submit your Initial weigh-in. Please keep in mind that you will still have the same Final weigh-in dates no matter when you submit, though, so it's best to submit your Initial weigh-in early.

I’m Amy, and I live in Minnesota. I’ve done diet bets in the past, but it’s been awhile. This past year has been crazy busy and I’ve let my nutrition slide waaay too far. I’m consistent in my workouts 5-6 days a week, but I’m not seeing results because I’m not eating in a deficit consistently. I just turned 35 and am hoping to make it the overall healthiest year of my life! Hoping the accountability will help kick my motivation into high gear.

Venessa

Hi I’m Venessa and I’m from California. Just finished a diet bet and just barely won it lol I’m looking to stay consistent and hope this holds me accountable
