  • Happy Friday! How is everyone doing so far? Any triumphs to share? Anything you’re struggling with? Share with us! We’re all here to help each other :)

The weekend is almost here! For some of us, weekends are easier, for others they're more of a challenge.

If you struggle to stay on track over the weekend, then it's time to plan ahead. It's all about being prepared and making wise choices. Don't feel deprived, feel empowered!

    Tips for a Healthy Weekend:
-Plan ahead - So important to be prepared for whatever comes your way!
-Drink your water - Hydration can ease hunger and help you feel satiated
-Keep moving - It feels great and burns calories!
-Moderation - Don't over do the food and drinks
-Relax - Stress can lead to overeating. Take some time for yourself!
-Sleep - We need our sleep and it aids our weight loss efforts!
    -Have fun!

It's also a great time to do some meal planning and prep for the week. Head to the grocery store and stock up on healthy options to have on hand.

Have fun and make choices that will make you happy when you step on the scale on Monday! You've got this!

On the weekends, starting about 3 months ago, I decided to get up at the same time I do during the week. So I get my work out in right away on Saturdays, and then I can beat the rush at the grocery store! I do meal prep on the weekends, I know if I don't have things ready to grab and go...I will grab something not so healthy.
Things I am struggling with are getting in my water, and eating after 7pm. I made thr decision for my gut health no more eating after 7pm, and this past week I really struggled with that because my schedule has been all over the place or I am just not hungry and wanting ro eat. Which I know I will regret in the morning during my sweat session so then I eat.
So this week again focusing on getting water in and no eating after 7pm.

I love to get up early and beat the rush on the weekends too, Kim! And getting in your workout early is such a great way to start the day! Something that helped me start drinking more water was to get one of those really big water bottles with the time stamps and motivational sayings on it. That way, I can just fill it up in the morning and drink throughout the day. It's a little cumbersome to drink from, but filling it up and knowing that's my water for the day really helps visually. Then I can just pour it into a glass or smaller bottle from there. I've found that drinking herbal tea at night helps keep me from mindless snacking. Once you get into the habit of not eating at night, it becomes much easier. Good luck this week!
