Hi baby WOW the first step is the one you have already taken... you wrote it in the blog. I know exactly the way you feel. I weighed about 205 in the Air Force and could run a 6 minute mile. My top weight was 297! and I never thought I looked obese but when I see beach pictures I wonder why people weren't trying to get me back in the water! My goal is to get back down to the 220 range and stay there and still enjoy my favorite foods but in moderation. Like you I would like to swim with whale sharks, take scuba lessons and snorkel whenever I can and having a home in Florid makes all of that possible as long as I'm healthy enough. This diet bet should get us both started.
