Non-scale victory of the week!

I can reach more of my body, stretch my legs better, *almost* cross my legs. It is more comfortable to put an ankle on the opposite knee while sitting. I am having to tie the waistband of several pair of large pants because they are loose. I can stand more comfortably and for longer. I have far less back and knee pain and have it far less often. I can walk all over campus effectively and without pain!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I had a good week. I could have done a little more activity and, oh! I could have gone to bed earlier and prioritized my sleep.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I was able to walk and move and participate nearly fully in out family vacation!!!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I *could* have eaten better, but I'm happy to have NOT expended that energy while on holiday.

More loose clothes. Longer walking and standing. Feeling like I'm standing OVER my feet, like my weight doesn't unbalance me

Non-scale victory of the week!

While cooking for Thanksgiving, I was able to STAND for the majority of it! Even two months ago, I'd have sat for most, but I STOOD for most of several hours. I also ate what I wanted, including having dessert (just not 3 helpings), and still LOST WEIGHT. I can also now WEAR MY FAVORITE SHOES without my back and feet hurting! I had been entirely in GOOD tennis shoes *only* in order to reduce pain, and now I can wear my cute shoes again!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I could have avoided snack temptations like late-night popcorn and the Godiva candies that a guest brought.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I can stand and walk more easily, have less pain, and some of my clothes fit more loosely. I also can now walk between the concrete barrier and wall at the parking garage--facing forward!!--without scooching or turning sideways or going on tiptoe to get my belly *over* the barrier!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I could have stuck to my eating plan and not bad cookies/cookie dough. I did relatively well at dinners with family although I ate *more* than was comfortable (and dessert both times), I ate mostly healthy choices although the quantities were large.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I can walk farther. I can LIFT things again. My back still hurts, and my hip still hurts, but less often. I can just STAND for longer. Some of my clothes are *slightly* loose.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I had a rough mid week with anxiety and depression...so I ate ice cream three days running. I am glad that I balanced that with the rest of my healthy eating, and I only went over my "max calorie" limit that I've set once...and only by a tiny bit. So...overall good, but I think I'd have lost some this week had I avoided the stress eating. I'm still behind on my work, so having Real Exercise Time is just not feasible yet.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

I'd like to have more vegetables every day (which I mostly do) and get more meal prep done for the second half of the week. I really REALLY need to get more sleep, especially now that I've slept well and feel better after the weekend. I want to get caught up on my work so I can feel less pressured and have more time to be active.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I have a pair of pants that I am going to have to put pleats in and can only wear if I rubber-band the waistband to be smaller (see image).

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I spent the week just EATING for FUN. On the one hand...it would be better if I hadn't, and I can feel the pounds I regained. However, I need not to restrict my intake too consistently, and I think the reminder to my body that I am NOT starving it is probably good in the long run.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

My goal this week is to return to eating within my calorie range and to add back in a TON of vegetables. For this...I need to go to the store to get lettuce for great salads, asparagus, spinach...great veg that will help me feel full but also be healthy and good for my health and mental health.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Standing and walking are easier than they've been in a very long time. I can reach more of my body than I could even just a little while ago. I can lean down while sitting in the driver's seat and reach the gas cap release. I *think* I can see a small difference in my profile image of my body. I CAN see more of the shape of my face.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Activity. Even before I got sick, I haven't been at all active.
