That post about different tricks to stay on track definitely has some good tips. The short workout has definitely been driving me. I started this weightloss journey not wanting to burn myself out with tons of long workouts that I knew I wouldn't stick with long term. I strictly committed to moving more. Started with a squat challenge and a 5-10 minute HIIT or Barre class. I've added 5-8 minute kettlebell and 20 minute walks. Since they are quick, I break them up throughout the day and I actually look forward to doing them at work on breaks and when I get home. It never feels like a chore. Might change in the future, but so far I'm loving it! ❤

Weight loss has been incredibly slow this momth. I'm following my work out plan and eating the right things for my body but right now I am completely stalled. I'm like a car spinning its wheels in the snow. Nonetheless I've noticed some pretty cool things over the last two weeks that scream "Hey, this is working don't give up!"
1. I was lotioning my arms and it darned on me that there is definitely less arm to lotion. My arms are shrinking.
2. I was waiting for the printer at work to finish making my copies, so I placed my hand on my back where a lump of fat should be. My hand slid off of my back instead of resting on the lump of fat. The lump is considerably smaller than it used to be! When did that happen?!
3. My very tight pants that I bought a year-ish ago are not tight anymore. In fact I've caught myself pulling them up a few times today. I have a ways to go before they are too big to wear, but they used to leave marks on my skin because they were so tight. Not only do they not do that anymore, they wiggle around enough that I'm noticing.

Hi everyone. Need some advice.

I'm taking the Bar Exam in 2 weeks (February 23-24), so I've been studying about 8-10 hours a day, and I also have an office job on top of that. With all the studying and work, I'm on my butt ALL. DAY. LONG. I know I'm not going to focus on working out this month. Even something as small as 20 minutes seems like too much commitment when I'm trying to cram as much studying as I possibly can these last few weeks.

This won't be an easy month for me. The stress, long days, little sleep, over-eating some days and under-eating others...all of it is going to catch up. But if it means I don't have to retake the exam, then I'm totally willing to go through it!

But anyway, my questions are:
If I'm not going to be as active as I would like this month, how should I keep track of what I'm eating to ensure I'm still able to meet my goal weight this month?
Any ideas of super fast and easy recipes to always have on hand so I don't waste valuable study time on cooking for 4 hours?
Any other advice on how to not lose my mind?? (Although it may be a bit too late for that one.)

Try to drink lots of water, I try to drink a gallon a day now. You can use an app or alarm to remind you every so often to drink! It will make you go to the bathroom more and every time you go do 10 squats before or after! Something small but would add up!

Good luck!! Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t make this round. Just push harder next month to keep your mind busy while you are waiting for the results!

I lost 75 lbs in a year and only started working out 8 months in. Diet is 90% of fat loss. I had a very busy year so I mostly just rotated the same 5 dinners that I knew were in the calorie goal. It’s boring but you don’t want to expand your brainpower on this just eat the same thing.

  • This seems so silly, but, I decided I need help remembering my goals. I would like to lose 30 lbs before I go on a vacation with my family. The number will change based on the number of pounds I have left to my goal. I’m hoping seeing the number regularly it will help keep me on track! 😉 Happy losing everyone!

Come to think of it, there are surprisingly many fun things you can buy for $18!

a) mobile games, crossword puzzles, etc.
b) movies on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play
c) crayons
d) beef jerky - I love beef jerky!
e) balloons!


I’m grateful and I love the big reward at the end Of the game. If you’re going to lose weight anyway, why not make some extra cash and get social support?

OK I’m jealous every time I try to order the curry roasted cauliflower whole foods is out and I can’t put it on my order list
Don’t know if you’ve ever tried it but they’re Whole Foods chicken curry from the deli is fabulous


Mine is sold out a lot too! Was so happy to finally get some. I haven’t tried the chicken but I will, thanks!

Personally I don’t think it ever gets easier getting your life together. I think it’s a challenge with whatever life throws at you. But it’s up to each and everyone to find a way to have peace and happiness and some clarity  in your life. Everybody has trials and tribulations it’s just the way you maneuver around them that makes a difference.
