I gained weight gradually when I went back to work at a wonderful but very sedentary job. I want to get back to where I was weight-wise and get stronger!

Hi there, Fitness Warriors 45 is waiting for you! We’d love to have you join us! Julie asked me to host it, because she will be at the Fitness Warriors meet in Mexico. No reason we shouldn’t have fun at home, though! Let’s start 2017 with fun, fitness and plenty of support! ### $10 bet, starts January 1, late weigh-ins OK. ### https://www.dietbet.com/games/90310/activity

Wow! Look at you! Doing amazing!

Thank you so much! I am back up higher than where I'd like to be. 7.8 lbs up since I finished the Transformer on Feb 29! :( (I did finish that a little below my goal.) I'd love to lose 5-6 lbs and *stay there*!! I might do a maintenance challenge after this kickstarter! Accountability is so helpful for me!

I'm really depressed that I am up 9.6 lbs from the end of my last DietBet. :( Granted, that was a day or two before DH had his last heart surgery and with all the busyness and stress I easily rebounded 3-4 lbs right away. The rest is holiday weight gain. Sigh. The amount of yoyo-ing I've done over the past year is pretty discouraging. Hopefully it will be better from here ... now that DH is hopefully done with heart surgeries since both my previous two DB final weigh-ins were right before one.

Amy M

Wanted to update: I HAVE done better overall since then. :) Up a bit this summer but I'm still under my previous 20-lb yoyo range, back to what I weighed when I was 20!

Amy M

Thanks! I definitely don't have as much energy as I did when I was 20 ... but at 20 I didn't have two crazy little boys to keep up with. ;)

Hi Amy! I see that you are back on track! I have been a yo-yo dieter practically my entire adult life myself...trying to smooth out the bumps but learning that they are normal and inevitable!

Amy M

Thanks! And I know what you mean. I am just hoping to make them smaller bumps. ;) A 3-5 lb range is a lot more doable and easier on your metabolism than a 20-lb range!

I'm disappointed to have re-gained all the weight from my last challenge, but I've had a veeery stressful summer topped off by a move 8/31 and my darling husband bringing home/baking tons of temptations the past month that made it difficult for me to maintain my "ambitious goal weight" that I worked hard to achieve. I'm still 6 lbs under the low end of the range I've yoyoed in for my entire adult life, so I remind myself of that when I get discouraged! AND I can now run 5K and my blood work results are a lot better! I want to make another try at attaining and maintaining the lower goal but my main focus is to be healthier!

Good luck figuring out desserts. I only by dessert food I don't like for my son and husband (like anything with raspberry filling). If we get unhealthy treats (like cookies from my mom) I'll pull out a serving for my son and have my husband take the rest to work to snack on. I buy trail mix for me, and it has M&Ms so I still get a hint of something sweet.

Amy M

That's smart, Holly! I do tend to do better when I have relatively healthy dessert options on hand, so I can "indulge" in something healthier. Makes it easier to resist the more decadent treats!

My 6-month graph is no longer depressing! Hopefully it will stay that way and no more yoyo-ing! The past 2 months have been a lot better; hopefully that trend will continue.

Whoa, the 6-month graph is new. Mine is kind of depressing. :p But all that is changing! No more yoyoing; on to new lows!!
