I did extremely well the first 3 months of this challenge, and lost quite a bit of weight.

However, I've been on a plateau for nearly 3 weeks now. I'm not eating more than usual, and I'm still exercising almost everyday.

I need to find a way to kick the metabolism back into gear.

Getting a little discouraged to tell you the truth.

Yea that's how I was feeling. Same was happening to me But the moment I stopped obsessing and didnt weigh myself for 2 weeks, and slept more ,and I started losing again.

The body is great at adapting to consistency, and protecting itself from weight loss.

For our ancestors weight loss probably meant no food was available, and slowing the metabolism is the body trying to protect you from death. It actually means your body is doing exactly what it is supposed to!

Research doesn’t support cheat meals, and some studies suggest they cause more harm than good. Watch your numbers and give it time. Best results come from simple diet and exercise consistency. Don’t be discouraged my man, keep working hard and be consistent, it will continue to pay off.

Also, you’ve already lost a ton of weight! So don’t cut off your leg :laughing:, you’ll need it for those hikes!

I use 2 scales. One for travel amd one for at home. No problems at all. If that would be a problem than weih-in at 2 different locations would also be a problem. If I move my scale 10 inches I have a different weigh.

Kind of, obviously it has slowed down from the beginning, but it’s still coming off. My mindset is definitely where it needs to be. I’m doing all my WayBetter tasks and that really keeps my head in the right place.

Hi! Need some encouragement here 😔
I didn’t win last round and I’m very far from the next goal. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to make it. I’ve lost motivation and feel very frustrated. I started strong but right now, I’m just feeling it’s a far goal. I’m 4 kg over the weight goal of May 😣

I also needed extra motivation and sought other help. What I have so far, not that it's a big secret, that when you track what you're eating you are able to visually see where you need to make the changes. I've limited myself to 1500 calories until I meet my goal weight. I use FitBit to log in all my meals. I don't exclude any foods- when I reach my calorie limit, I'm done eating for the day. It helps you to make smarter choices about what to eat as well...opting for foods that are good for you and keep you full longer, rather than a chocolate bar for that sugar rush. It is definitely helping me lose the weight. Plenty of free food journals online as well.

Ever since the last weigh in I have been struggling. It doesn’t make logical sense. I have done well and made my goal. Then after Easter I allowed myself lots of treats and I put on weight. Every pound for me is so hard to lose so to watch myself gain 6.5 pounds like that….ugh. One would think that this would motivate me to get back at it but instead I am making excuses and falling into all my old habits. It doesn’t help that I’m busy too.

If you look into 2b mindset, which I loosely follow but find Ilana very motivating, we all have days when we don't eat right, but it's all about how fast you learn to bounce back. Keep it short, a day, or a meal and then back to the eating plan. I just came back from vacation yesterday, so back to the meal plan today.

After my last weigh in I put back on 2 ponds and I was stuck there for 2 weeks...

Then BAM! Yesterday I was down 7 pounds after not weighing myself for a few day.

I'm now a pound below my March goal!

And that is exactly why you should not fixate on the number the scale shows you everyday.

It's the same with me. My weight fluctuates up and down, but I look at it like a stock market graph. As long as it's trending down, that's all that matters.

Same here Holly..I can't handle the weekends..literally gain 5 lbs between Friday and Sunday and takes 2 weeks to get back down

Honestly - currently a 2-3. I have been yo-yoing so long and then when I really get it together and make a strict effort, it doesn’t seem to show up on the scale (perimenopause/ Hashimotos/ desk job) but I refuse to stop trying. Even if it happens slow and I don’t win the money I refuse to stay at a standstill any longer
