Sorry you got hurt! I agree with everyone about more water and more protein. Whenever I get in a plateau, I shake it up a bit and uo my protein and it moves the scale a bit. Also agree with Google or YouTube chair exercises. At least you can get some good stretches for your back, arms and other leg. Keep your chin up!

If you are exercising less or not at all, be sure to cut calories. If you wear a Fitbit device and log your food you can make sure you have enough of a calorie deficit to continue losing.

I’ve had 6 surgeries on my ankle/foot so I know how restrictive it can be. Try some of the chair yoga workouts, or search YouTube for workout
S with an ankle injury.

Just don’t give up and let this set you back. Like many others have said it’s mostly about diet! Good luck.

Due to pushing myself to win the final round of another transformer and a kickstarter, I am now under the round 3 goal! Instead of sitting back and slipping away from my good habits I’ve been developing, I am going to continue to push myself and stay a round ahead…and I’ve set a new round 6 goal for myself which will put me out of the obese BMI and into overweight BMI. Still a long way from healthy.

For those of you who didn’t win round 2, don’t give up! That other transformer I just won round 1 & 6. Getting to the 6% loss to qualify for round 6 was a challenge…I didn’t think I could do it, then I didn’t think I could lose the last 4% in a month…but I did! I’m proud of myself, not just for winning, but for not giving up. Giving up when things aren’t going well has been my problem over the year,

Celebrate the victories along the way and continue to battle until the end!

Colleen - everyone is different. If you find an exercise you enjoy and block off time for it everyday it will just become part of your routine….and hopefully something you look forward to….or at least feel proud of yourself for doing. Good luck with the morning exercise!

This one was a battle. For days I was stuck a few ounces from goal. Scale didn’t budge no matter what I did. Woke up and was still 2oz above - went for a walk and hit goal dead on. So happy to win but those last few ounces made me fight for it!

I’m going to take a break from kickstarters for a bit. I’m in a transformer and doing well there.

Remember it is a long journey and you need to keep your eye on your end goal.

I’d love some tips on getting through a plateau! I did meet my goal but have been stuck forever.

Diane in the past I do a three day cleanse if I’m not seeing results when I have been sticking to diet with calorie deficit and it isn’t working. I often do the one from Ms Skinny since I find it easy to follow. https://skinnyms.com/three-day-cleanse-detox/

Sometimes I do the three day apple fast which is just apples, coffee and water for three days (only do this one when I don’t have a busy schedule). I love apples so it isn’t too bad.

Having said that this time I had been doing really low calories for awhile and didn’t want to go any lower. I changed up my diet - I’d been having overnight oats in almond milk with chia seeds as my first meal, and fat-free plain Greek yogurt with blueberries in the evening. I eliminated both of those and stuck to veggies, low fat protein and a little fruit…nothing else other than coffee herbal tea. I also upped my cardio but didn’t do any resistance training.

I think the key is to just change things up if you are stuck at a plateau.

On another note, yesterday I had my highest calorie day all year ( nothing bad but just more foods that were calorie dense including rice). This morning the scale was down another lb …so my plateau is definitely in my rear view mirror!

The scale has not budged in days - I’m just a few ounces from goal weight so hoping by tomorrow the scale will reward all of my hard work - I’ve been so good and got in a lot of exercise on the weekend. Fingers crossed - congratulations to everyone who hit their goal already!

You can wear whatever or nothing when it’s the shot of just your feet on the scale showing your weight. The full body has to show you on the scale wearing lightweight clothing but that shot does not have to show your weight. Or do you have to weigh in a public place?

One thing that makes it better, your original weigh-in weight was also clothed and holding a phone, so overall it does show how much weight was lost.
