For the last two weeks, I have exercised and had a calorie deficient without going extremely low on my calories. My weight went down slightly the first week, but the numbers between my calories consumed versus burned did not come close to equaling what the scale said. I weigh my food so I was accurately estimating my calories consumed, but no significant change. Though the scale barely moved, I have been seeing an increase in my muscle definition in my arms and especially my legs. So much so my pants are actually tighter on my quads and calves.

Though I am seeing results, my fat loss does not equal what should be occuring. Instead of restricitng my calorie intake even more or trying to exercise a crazy amount, I am going to try carb cycling and really focus on my macros. I have seen results in the past doing low carb diets, but I hate the severe restriction and ended up being tired after a while. For the first week I am going to rotate two low carb days followed by a high carb day and so on. Hopefully my body will focus on using my fat reserves more efficiently as well as holding onto water so easily. I have two weeks exactly today from the end of my first dietbet and I have 4 pounds to lose. Hopefully I can make my diet goal and not feel like my old habits of severe calorie restriction or even binging do not come out.
