Since this is my first Diet Bet, I'm curious about a couple of things.  I'm 58 and honestly, I am down with bronchitis and no voice which equals little energy.  I don't have a difficult time paying attention to food, but am not burning as much as I should.  I don't like lunges as one knee is persnickety and even with that, I love the positive support from everyone in the game and from Ali.  I have already learned so much about my body and how it operates that it will carry me far beyond the game.  I estimated that I was eating 2200 calories per day which kept me at the unhealthy weight I am at.  Now I am eating 1200 per day and there are times when my stomach is like a spoiled 2 year old who has become accustomed to getting what she wants and is putting up a stink about it!  So, having said that, even with feeling hungry at times, will this affect my overall loss or should I spread my meals out so that my stomach has something in it?  I don't want to trick my body into thinking it's starving for heaven's sake!!!  I am proud of myself in that I have not had bread, sugar, dairy, leguemes for a month now!  I just made my own mayonaisse this morning, a healthy ranch dressing.........went out to lunch yesterday with my Mom and instead of a burger with fries, had a burger patty with plain salad and steamed broccoli which was filling and good.  My throat is so sore from coughing I would kill for something cold like a shake to drink but I seem to have found this determination in me that I haven't had the pleasure of being present in a very long time.  I hope everyone's week is going well - hopefully I will feel better soon and if you want to chime in and answer any of my questions, I need all the support I can get!!  Thanks everyone!
