Oh! You mean I'm really not the most horrible person ever? Huh!

I am a library tech and have been working in elementary schools since 2001. I have always been large. (some years larger than large, other years just large) When I talked to a counsellor about depression (mostly due to negative self-image) she told me that I should trying seeing myself through their eyes. Not once do I ever think of how I look when I am with children. Many of them have talked to me after they have moved on and said they remember me as fun and happy and just like a big kid myself. I always thought myself as a monster, which is why the title of your blog intrigued me. I have also been told by my sister friend that if she had one wish, it would be for me to see myself as she sees me. Definitely something to try a little harder at.

What a gift to have people tell you how they see you! Too often it's a thing we don't tell others. We know from experience how much others need to hear it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
