Eating well is complicated! It's hard to navigate the grocery store or a food menu and identify what is truly healthy and what is just processed junk. I like your thoughts and new outlook. Be sure not to be too hard on yourself if you choose a food that is not on your plan. It's a "two step forward, one step back" battle!
